According to the Global Floating Solar Market Report 2019 released by Research And Markets, the cumulative installed capacity of global floating photovoltaic power plants will reach 4127.567MW by 2024.

In countries and regions where are short of land or rich in water resources, mainly in Asia, North America and Africa, whose potential water area exceeds 100,000 square kilometers. Among those areas, there are more waters suitable for power station construction in Asia and North America, with almost more than 2,000 areas of waters. If 1% of these waters are developed and utilized to build floating power stations, the capacity can reach 400GW!
